Creating a 568B straight through cable the color coding is:
orange white, orange, green white, blue white, green, brown white, brown.
Creating a 568A straight through cable the color coding is:
green white, green, orange white, blue white, orange, brown white, brown.
We first got the instructions from Mr. Nicholjson. We then got the supplies. I made a crossover cable which consists of one 568a end and one 568b end. This is because the transmission
connections crossover to the receiving connection. As in the picture above.We also used a punch down tool to create a wall connector. Just for informational purposes there are also tool-less connectors that make the job of terminating cables quicker and easier. Also, when testing the cable, depending upon the cable tester, it may be necessary to adjust the settings on the tester for straight thru and crossover cables.
